Brief description: In the Harakbut world, the cicada heralds summer and the other seasons of the year. Its beautiful song announces the flowering of different species of trees and plants. In the rainy season, the cicada calls for the rain so that the forest can regenerate. The cicada rests underground to wake up when the following summer arrives. In this painting, the burning cicada is observed, the illegal mining, the oil spill, the deforestation do not allow it to continue with the function of being a climatological indicator of the Harakbut people.
