Brief description: This painting is based on real events. Years ago the miners had been invading the territories of Puerto Luz, a Harakbut indigenous community. The miners claimed that they had the permits from the Peruvian government, but two Indigenous brothers opposed the advance of this activity in their territory. For this reason they were kidnapped, tied up and tortured for three days. The indigenous community could not do anything because the miners had firearms and there were too many of them. But the brothers never gave up and they defended their forests, their territory and their culture with their lives. In this painting we want to represent all the threats and deaths that the indigenous protectors of their Amazonian territories have been suffering.
